PrayStation™ 3
"God's a safe house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times.
The moment you arrive, you relax; you're never sorry you knocked."
Psalm 9:9-10 MSG
Praystation™3 Guidelines ...
"Grow where you are planted." That expression has stuck with me. I've spent a lot of time thinking and praying about it. It occurred to me how circumstances in life determine the soil in which a person is planted. But what do you do when the soil is in bad shape?
You cultivate, fertilize and water it.
Cultivation occurs when you are with people who love one another; people who come together to encourage and to BE ENCOURAGED. Love cultivates. One of the primary functions of your home church is to cultivate brotherly (& sisterly) love.
Fertilizer is the Word of God and the teaching of His Word. The more you live and breathe it, the more nutrients your soil will contain. Reading the Bible nourishes and nurtures your soul.
Ultimately, you Water it .that's prayer. (Showers of prayer) Take your cares and your worries to the Lord. Pray for each other - BE PRAYED FOR .
Welcome to The PrayStation™. This is where you put your prayers in writing. As long as your prayers are to the God of the Bible, you're welcome to post here.
Don't let fear of spelling mistakes, a limited vocabulary or lack of spiritual experience stop you. The focus is not your typos, the focus is on God.
The PrayStation™ policy is that you post at least two different "replies" before you post a "new topic" of your own. In my experience, the Lord eases the pain of my own difficulties when I am praying for others in need .
The most important policy of The PrayStation™ comes from Jesus, and I quote:
"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need." Matthew 7:7 MSG
He also admonishes, "And When you come before God, don't turn that into a theatrical production either. All these people making a regular show out of their prayers hoping for stardom! Do you think God sits in a box seat? Here's what I want you to do, find a quiet secluded place so you won't be tempted to role play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense His grace."
Jesus continues, "The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer ignorant. They're full of formulas and programs and advice for getting what you want from God. Don't fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with and he knows better than you what you need. You can pray very simply." Matthew 6:5-8 MSG
In more ways than one, the Lord has confirmed the need for this outreach. We encourage you to be part of changing the world for working moms with your prayers.
